Licensing
I consider graduate education and professional licensure to be a minimum starting point for an effective therapist. In addition to fulfilling the continuing education credit requirements to maintain my clinical license, I have also taken advanced training in:
- Family preservation Services
- Strengths-Oriented, Solution Focused therapy
- Child Psychotherapy
- Teaching Parenting the "Positive Discipline" Way
- EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Repatterning)
- Clinical Supervision
- Depression
- Suicide Assessment and Intervention
In October of 2007 I was honored to be invited to teach a professional workshop on the topic of “Spirituality and Self Care for the Helping Professional” at the Women’s Coalition of Washington in Leavenworth.
I attend consultation regularly to continually refine my skills and to gain from the perspectives of other excellent therapists in the community. I have a network of therapists and other healing practitioners whose work I whole heartedly endorse and can refer my clients to when needed.
